Established in 2013, the ACU Law - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Equity Scholarship is intended to assist students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Commenced current ACU course in 2023 or prior
- Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students (Confirmation of Aboriginality will be required).
- Faculty: Law and Business
- Course: any ACU Law degree
- Campus: North Sydney, Brisbane, Blacktown or Melbourne
- Financial hardship
- Have not previously received this scholarship
Application process
Applicants are required to provide the following as part of the application:
- Written statement of approximately 500 words outlining:
- why you have chosen to undertake your degree;
- what you hope to achieve through your degree and how it will change your future;
- any hardships or barriers you have faced in accessing higher education.
- Evidence of financial hardship:
- Most recent Tax Assessment Notice OR
- Centrelink Income Statement OR
- The most recent 60 days of bank transactions AND pay slips from the last 6 weeks
- Two letters of recommendation, these can be from any of the following:
- Community engagement leader
- Personal
- Professional
- Religious leader
- Upload Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status (for more information on this requirement, please visit COA)

Selection process
The recipients will be selected by the Scholarships Office in consultation with the First Peoples Directorate and the Dean of Law.
