About this Grant
In 2014, the Australian Catholic University National Student Association (ACUNSA) established the Student Travel and Training Grant (STTG) in conjunction with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students, Learning and Teaching) to assist students with the associated costs of attending conferences, humanitarian activities, undertaking practicums or other further student travel and/or training that supports the studies of ACU students.

Eligibility
This grant is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Commenced current ACU course in Semester 2, 2024 or prior
- Course: enrolled in any ACU degree
- Undertaking one of the following activities within six months of (either before or after) the application closing date:
- conference
- humanitarian activity
- practicum, or other student training
- overseas for ACU exchange or study abroad
- Have not previously received this grant.
- Not a member of ACUNSA or any other Campus Student Association Management Committee (members must withdraw from the selection committee to apply for this grant)
Application process
Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:
- A written statement* of approximately 200 words outlining what you hope to gain from the chosen activity.
- Evidence of completion or intent to complete the chosen activity.
- Budget of estimated expenses relating to the chosen activity.
*Statements are assessed on content, not language skills. If you access assistance from advisors, tutors or AI technology to complete your personal statement, please ensure that your submission accurately reflects your personal situation with regards to the criteria.
Selection criteria
Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
- Written statement
- Budget
Preference will be given to students who have not received any other ACU scholarship or grant related to the travel/training activity identified in this application.
Selection process
The recipients will be selected by the Scholarships Office.
Other
Grant recipients are requested to submit a letter to the ACUNSA President ACUNSA.President@acu.edu.au explaining how the grant has helped them.
