About this scholarship
The Callinan Family Scholarship founded in 2018 is intended to financially assist students who demonstrate ability, are actively engaged in campus life and can show that they require financial support. The scholarship will provide financial support for a second, third or fourth year student undertaking a Bachelor degree or double degree in the Peter Faber School of Business on the Melbourne Campus.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Faculty: Law and Business
- Course: any ACU undergraduate Business degree (including double degrees)
- Campus: Melbourne
- Year level: second year or above (as of Semester 1, 2024)
- Study load: full-time
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 5.0 on the ACU seven point scale, across all ACU undergraduate studies
- Financial hardship
- Participant in campus activities
- Acknowledgement that you will consider providing support to students in the future when you are in a position to do so.
Application process
Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:
- A written statement of approximately 300 words outlining:
- how the scholarship would assist you in your course
- your participation in campus life
- your future career plans and aspirations and how they illustrate a commitment to ACU’s mission and to the community
- A letter of recommendation or evidence demonstrating participation or endorsement of campus life
- Evidence of financial need, this can be any of the following:
- Most recent Tax Assessment Notice
- Centrelink Income Statement
- The most recent 60 days of bank transactions AND pay slips from the last 6 weeks
Selection criteria
Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
- Written statement
- Participation in campus activities
- Academic merit
- Financial need
Selection process
The recipient will be selected by the Scholarships Office.
Other
- Recipients will be requested to submit an Impact Statement for the donor explaining how the scholarship has assisted them. This should be submitted to the ACU Scholarships Office no later than 1 October in the year the scholarship is awarded.
- Recipients will be invited to a presentation event and are requested to attend if this does not impede placement or study commitments.
