About this scholarship
Carla Sarina Todaro’s family and friends, with the help of the Australian Catholic University, have created the Carla Todaro Memorial Law Scholarship in 2021 to honour Carla’s wonderful life and her incredible achievements.
This scholarship will be awarded annually to a person whose admirable attributes correspond to those Carla demonstrated, to assist their legal studies. It is open to current and future students of ACU’s Thomas More Law School who can achieve and personally advocate for others a good balance of well-being and academic success. Those receiving the award will also show they value the ability to serve others, as demonstrated by Carla’s advocacy for the vulnerable.
Carla Sarina Todaro was a radiant and remarkable person whose incredible, wonderful life was tragically shortened, a few months after she graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) in 2020. In her life she was an exceptional scholar, inspiring others by demonstrating the value of a great mind applied with persistence, energy, and creativity to her work. Carla’s calling, in particular to her pro-bono work, was aligned to her spirit of social justice. Her love, friendship and support were greatly appreciated by the many people who benefited from knowing her.
