Established as a Queensland Government initiative, Queensland Health offers this scholarship to support students in midwifery courses, based at ACU’s Brisbane campus.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia
- Study load: full-time
- Faculty: Health Sciences
- Course: Bachelor of Midwifery
- Campus: Brisbane (on campus)
- Year level: Commencing a new course in Semester 1 2025
- Financial hardship
Application process
Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:
- A written statement* of approximately 400-500 words outlining:
- why you are applying for the scholarship
- what you hope to achieve with your qualification in the future
- Evidence to support financial hardship
*Statements are assessed on content, not language skills. If you access assistance from advisors, tutors or AI technology to complete your personal statement, please ensure that your submission accurately reflects your personal situation with regards to the criteria.
Selection criteria
Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
- Written statement
- Demonstrated financial hardship

The recipient will be selected by the ACU Scholarships Office
Ongoing requirements
To remain eligible for this scholarship, recipients are required to maintain the following each semester for the duration of the scholarship:
- Remain enrolled full-time at ACU’s Brisbane campus in the same course under which the scholarship was received.
Other
Recipients agree to the Scholarships Office reporting the recipient’s name and academic progress to the donor each semester for the duration of their scholarship. And that the donor may publish this information.
