Established in 1995 and donated by DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club Ltd, this scholarship is designed to financially assist students suffering financial hardship, to continue their studies.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Commencing ACU course in Semester 1, 2025 or prior
- Course: any ACU undergraduate degree
- Campus: North Sydney, Strathfield or Blacktown
- Financial hardship
Application process
Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:
- A written statement* of approximately 200 words outlining:
- the hardship or barriers you have faced in accessing higher education, and
- how your degree will change your future
- Evidence of financial hardship:
- Most recent Tax Assessment Notice OR
- Centrelink Income Statement OR
- The most recent 60 days of bank transactions AND pay slips from the last 6 weeks
*Statements are assessed on content, not language skills. If you access assistance from advisors, tutors or AI technology to complete your personal statement, please ensure that your submission accurately reflects your personal situation with regards to the criteria.

Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
- Written statement
- Financial hardship
- Preference to students currently living in Western Sydney
For the purpose of these rules, Western Sydney comprises the 13 local government areas of Cumberland, Blacktown, City of Parramatta, Canterbury Bankstown, Campbelltown, Camden, Fairfield, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, The Hills, Penrith, and Wollondilly.
Selection process
The recipients will be selected by the Scholarships Office.
Other
Recipients will be requested to submit an Impact Statement for the donor explaining how the scholarship has assisted them. This should be submitted to the ACU Scholarships Office no later than 1 October in the year the scholarship is awarded.
