About this scholarship
The scholarship honours Mrs Sally Kozuh, whose deep commitment to young people and the visual arts continues to inspire. It supports an NSW-based student to undertake a Short-Term International Study Experience (STISE) unit, or as part of the Semester in Rome program at the Rome Campus that involves visual arts and broadens their creative and cultural horizons. The award offers financial assistance for an ACU international experience in one or more of the world’s most celebrated centres of art, including Rome, Venice, and Paris.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all the following criteria, or will do so by the application close date:
- Citizenship: domestic
- Campus: North Sydney, Strathfield or Blacktown Campus
- Course: enrolled in one of the following courses
- Bachelor of Arts
- Bachelor of Creative Arts
- Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design
- Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/Bachelor of Arts (Visual Arts)
- Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts (Visual Arts)
- Year level: Second or Third Year of study (as of Semester 1 2026)
- Undertaking an overseas Short-Term International Study Experience (STISE) unit, or as part of the Semester in Rome program at the Rome Campus.
- Minimum cumulative GPA: 4.5 (on the ACU seven-point scale across all ACU undergraduate studies).
Application process
Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:
- A written statement* of approximately 300 words outlining:
- Why you have chosen to undertake your overseas unit
- How undertaking this travel would help you in your future career.
- What you hope to gain from this experience.
- Letter of recommendation (academic or art practice)
Selection criteria
Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
- Academic merit (based on current ACU GPA)
- Written statement
- Letter of recommendation
- Preference will be given to students enrolled in units related to visual arts
Selection process
The recipient will be selected by the Scholarships Office.
Other
- Recipients will be requested to submit an Impact Statement for the donor each year, explaining how the Scholarship has assisted them. The statement should be submitted to the Scholarships Office no later than 1 October in the year the scholarship is awarded.
- Recipients will be invited to a presentation event and are requested to attend if this does not impede placement or study commitments.
