Eligibility
This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Commenced Bachelor or Master of Social Work in 2026 or prior
- Enrolment in Semester 1, 2027
- Target group: Students undertaking a regional, rural, remote or international placement
- Faculty: Health Sciences
- Campus: Brisbane, Canberra or Strathfield
Application process
Applicants are required to provide the following as part of the application:
- A written statement* of approximately 100 words outlining why you are planning to undertake this placement and what you hope to gain from it.
*Statements are assessed on content, not language skills. If you access assistance from advisors, tutors or AI technology to complete your personal statement, please ensure that your submission accurately reflects your personal situation with regards to the criteria.
Selection criteria
- Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
- Academic merit (based on current ACU GPA)
- Written statement
Preference will be given to students undertaking a rural or regional placement.
Selection process
The recipients will be selected by the Scholarships Office.
Other
In the year the scholarship is awarded, recipients will be asked to submit an Impact Statement for the donor explaining how the scholarship has assisted them.
