Established in 2006 to provide financial support for Social Work students, towards the costs of undertaking a rural, regional or international placement.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Commenced current ACU course in Semester 2, 2023 or prior
- Target group: Students undertaking a rural, regional or international placement
- Faculty: Health Sciences
- Course: Bachelor or Master of Social Work
- Campus: Brisbane, Canberra or Strathfield
Application process
Applicants are required to provide the following as part of the application:
- A written statement of approximately 100 words outlining why you are planning to undertake this placement and what you hope to gain from it.
Selection criteria
- Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
- Academic merit
- Written statement
Preference will be given to students undertaking a rural or regional placement.
Selection process
The recipients will be selected by the Scholarships Office.
Other
Recipients will be requested to submit an Impact Statement for the donor explaining how the scholarship has assisted them. This should be submitted to the ACU Scholarships Office no later than 1 October in the year the scholarship is awarded.
