About this scholarship

Established as a part of Regional Loading Funding, these placement support bursaries provide financial assistance to students enrolled at the Ballarat Campus in allied health courses, undertaking a compulsory clinical placement.

Eligibility

This bursary is open to those who will meet all the following criteria: 

• Course: in the final year of your Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree 
• Campus: Ballarat 
• Undertaking a compulsory clinical placement in Semester 1, 2025 
• You meet one or more of the following equity categories: 
  • Your placement is more than 50km from ACU’s Ballarat Campus   
  • You are required to source accommodation away from your primary residence to undertake your placement 
  • You are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (a Confirmation of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Status will be required).

• Placement details including duration/s, location/s, associated unit/s of study 
• Where relevant, Confirmation of your Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Status 
• Where relevant, evidence/receipts of your cost of accommodation

Selection criteria

Applications are assessed on alignment with the criteria listed under the above ‘Eligibility’ section.
  

Selection process

Recipients will be determined by a selection committee. The committee will be composed of representatives from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Centre for Education and Innovation (CEI).
